If you happen to be visiting between Memorial Day through Labor Day, you are in for a real treat. During this period of time the Kalahari Zambezi Outdoor Water Park Wisconsin Dells is open each year. Of course, the weather plays a part in the opening of the Outdoor Water Park. It is possible it might open a little later or close a smidgen earlier but this is the Kalahari Resort’s normal practice.
Don’t forget about the Indoor Water Park
Having an Indoor Water Park at Kalahari Resort is a wonderful thing. Throughout the year it is always open but there is nothing like soaking in the rays of the summer sun while basking around the water in the great outdoors. It is like getting a 2 for 1 deal. You have access to both Water Parks for the duration of your visit with no additional costs.
The Kalahari Resort Wisconsin Dells Outdoor Water Park with 75,000 Square Feet of fun, has something for every age group and size. It is not quite as large as the Water Park Indoors but it has some really great rides that you will not want to miss. If you are interested in getting a suntan while you are on vacation, this is the perfect place to be.
Large Water Slides
The rides include a fun Large Family Water Slide where up to 3 people can pile into a specially formed tube and zip in and out of enclosed tube sections being splashed by water all the way to the end. There are also a couple of unique Slalom Water Slides that twist and turn, one on top of the other like a downhill water race to the Splashdown area.

Splashdown Safari – Kids Water Play Area
The younger kids will find a very large water adventure play area with many different entrance and exit location to play and hide while waiting for other friends to find them. There are many different Smaller Water Slides built into the Water Playground that are suitable for all of the younger age groups in your family. Watch as your kids wait for the huge Water Bucket to drop hundreds of gallons below, some will stand and enjoy the splash of the water while other will run hoping not to get soaked.

Changing Rooms and Showers
- As you enter the Indoor Water Park there are Shower and Changing Facilities for both Men and Women.
Lockers
- Lockers are limited and handed out on a first come first serve basis. There is an additional fee for the lockers. $15.00 Locker Feee but $9.00 of this is for the deposit. As long as you return your key the actual Locker Rental is only $6.00.
Towels
- You do not need to bring your own towels. They are provided for all guests to the Water Park.
Coolers, Food and Drive
- You are not allowed to bring any outside food, drink or coolers into any of the Water Park areas. There are many different location to purchase food on the property.
The Kalahari Wisconsin Dells Resort Outdoor Water Park Information
The Water Park Outdoors adds a level of Summer Fun for those who can visit during these hotter months. Adding the additional space of an Outdoor Water Park cuts down on the crowds in one area and might make this a more enjoyable place with more space to spread out.
